Damen Yachting Advances Construction on Ninth Amels 60 Superyacht
The ninth unit of Damen Yachting’s Amels 60 series has officially progressed to the outfitting phase at the company’s Vlissingen shipyard in the Netherlands. This latest milestone marks another step forward in the evolution of the highly regarded 60-meter superyacht range.
Launched as part of the Amels Limited Editions collection, the Amels 60 series was first introduced in 2019 and has gained recognition for its refined design and engineering. The ninth hull has joined two other ongoing projects—hulls seven and eight—at the yard, all undergoing the outfitting process ahead of their scheduled delivery. The latest addition is expected to be handed over to its owner in 2026.
The Amels 60 features an exterior penned by Espen Øino, who has incorporated distinctive geometric windows that have become Amels’ signature. Complementing the sleek exterior is an interior envisioned by the London-based Winch Design studio. Drawing inspiration from natural elements, the design embraces soft, earthy tones, fluid shapes, and a seamless connection between spaces, creating an inviting and tranquil onboard atmosphere.
Customization plays a key role in the appeal of the Amels 60, allowing owners to tailor the interiors to their tastes while maintaining the high standards synonymous with the Amels Limited Editions range. Smart storage solutions, premium materials, and meticulous attention to detail ensure both functionality and luxury without compromising the yacht’s timeless aesthetic.
With the ninth hull now in outfitting, Damen Yachting continues to strengthen its presence in the superyacht sector, reinforcing the Amels 60 series as a benchmark for craftsmanship, elegance, and innovation.
